Víctor Martínez-Gil Aracne editrice

Víctor Martínez–Gil is Full Professor of Catalan Studies at the Autonomous University of Barcelona. His research focuses on Textual Criticism and on Reception and Translation Studies. He is particularly interested in the literary and cultural relationships between Catalonia and Portugal in the xixth and xxth centuries. He has published works such as El naixement de l’iberisme catalanista (1997), the collective volume “Irmãos afastados”: Portugal e a Catalunha (2010) or the reissue of Ribera i Rovira’s Atlàntiques (2017). He has translated into Catalan authors such as Mário de Sá–Carneiro, Fernando Pessoa, José Saramago, Herberto Helder, and Valter Hugo Mãe. He is co–director of «Els Marges. Revista de Llengua i Literatura» and has coordinated and co–curated the critical edition of Salvador Espriu’s works.
